These terms apply to your use of the Amanukatz Maine Coons website and to enquiries made through it. Please read them before contacting us or reserving a kitten.
About this website
The information on this site — including descriptions of our cats, availability and prices — is provided in good faith and may change without notice. Photographs are examples of our cats and previous litters; an individual kitten's final appearance, size and coat may differ as it matures.
Enquiries and waiting list
Submitting the contact form does not reserve a kitten and does not create a contract. It starts a conversation. We will reply to discuss your situation, our available or upcoming litters, and whether one of our cats is a good match for your home.
Reservations and deposits
- A kitten is only reserved once we have confirmed the reservation in writing and received the deposit.
- The deposit is deducted from the final price.
- Deposits are non-refundable if you change your mind, as holding a kitten means turning other families away.
- If we cancel the reservation — for example if the kitten develops a health issue or the litter does not arrive as expected — you may choose a full refund or a place on a future litter.
Payment and collection
The balance is due before the kitten leaves us, unless we agree otherwise in writing. Kittens are not released before they are old enough and have completed the vaccinations and veterinary checks appropriate for their age.
Health
Every kitten leaves us with a veterinary health check and the records covering its care to that point. The specific terms of our health guarantee, including its duration and what it covers, are set out in the written adoption agreement you receive at the time of reservation. That agreement takes precedence over anything on this page.
Your responsibilities as an adopter
- Provide a safe indoor home, appropriate food, enrichment and regular veterinary care
- Follow the vaccination, neutering and registration terms in the adoption agreement
- Contact us before rehoming a cat bought from us — we will always take one of our cats back
- Not use a pet-only cat for breeding
Transport
We prefer that you collect your kitten in person so you can meet us and see where it was raised. Where we help arrange transport, it is provided by a third party at your cost and risk.
Photographs and content
All text, photographs and the logo on this website belong to Amanukatz Maine Coons and may not be copied, reproduced or used elsewhere without our written permission.
Limitation of liability
We are responsible for meeting the commitments set out in your adoption agreement. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of this website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable where our cattery is based, in Liberty Center, Ohio, United States.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published here at the moment you make an enquiry is the one that applies.
